Technical Information

Chimney Sweeping:
Before installing a new fireplace it is necessary to establish that the chimney is in good condition this can be done by a chimney sweep. You must have a valid certificate from a recognised chimney sweep stating that your chimney is safe and has no leaks.

You can also contact the National Association of Chimney Sweeps (NACS) on 017 8581 1732 or visit www.chimneyworks.co.uk to find a chimney sweep for your local area. We will need to see the sweep’s report prior to installation of your fireplace.
Installation
Installation of a fireplace is a specialist job and as such we would recommend that you use a professional fireplace installer to carry out the works.
At Ornamantel we work closely with specialist fireplace installation teams, to offer you a comprehensive service including any gas works required. Once purchased, we will carry out a full technical site survey to establish installation requirements.
Natural Materials
All of our fireplaces are manufactured using 100% natural materials and as such are prone to fossils and other natural inclusions. Although every care is taken to ensure consistency of colour and vein patterning, these characteristics means the products you purchase will vary in fossil formation, veining and colour. However, these features only add to the individuality of the product.
